POSITION SUMMARY
Works under the direct supervision of the Administrative Director of Rehabilitation Services. Seeks and accepts direction from the clinical leaders of the Cardiac and Pulmonary rehabilitation programs and Exercise Physiologist designated by the Administrative Director (referred to hereafter as Exercise Physiologist designee).
The Fitness Technician shall possess a background in exercise and be capable of reviewing client''s health history, performing a basic fitness evaluation, instructing clients through a proper exercise program, and orienting staff and clients to exercise equipment. The Fitness Technician shall be primarily responsible for operating the Vitality Center during the early morning, evening, and weekend hours. During these hours the Fitness Technician shall interact and follow-up with members, perform routine maintenance checks on equipment, and finish those duties required for next business day department operations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. High School Diploma required.
2. Bachelor''s Degree in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology or near completion of degree preferred.
3. Background in health and fitness.
4. CPR certification required. Water Fitness certification preferred.
J2WALHEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
